The problem is that we had our dog on the old system and the passport as long as the dog had all his shots (including Rabies and blood test )it would onlycost the amount for the bosters evey year after the first year which would cost £172 then £75 each year after that .Now the cost is upwards of £300.00 every time we take him abroad so now we are looking at nearly £700.00 just to take him withus twice and thats without the cost of him travelling aswell ( boat or tunnel) we have talked to a multitude of pet who take their pets with and have said that this system is very unfair seems to me the only people who are enjoying this situation are the vets who seem to be charging what ever they like as it has shown in the Gaurdian paper the difference in price is appalling from one place to another .So i would like to get a petition going to stop this unfair system and revert back to the old system or something like it .The government have the power to stop this system we have now i received a letter myself from The RT Hon the Lord Goldsmith of Richmond park Minister of State he said this system would be implemented which supports pet owners and assistance dogs while the government  pursues a permanent solution .Iwonder if the government know how much we are being charged by vets untill this permanent solution comes Signed R Lupton
