PETITION TO REMOVE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER

PETITION TO REMOVE SCHOOL BOARD MEMBER
Why this petition matters
We, the undersigned, request the immediate removal of Poth ISD School Board member for violating the Board’s code of ethics, as adopted on 6/22/2000.
has violated more than half of the code of ethics and has become vindictive and resentful of the very students is charged with protecting.
has abused power as a board member to ensure the success of own children at the expense of others within the district. has “requested” that children be placed on teams for which they are not chosen.
has proven that does not have the best interest of all students in the district. has voiced the desire for students to be abused in sports because they did not meet expectations. Yet, has turned on our athletic director Jeff Luna. charge against Jeff is purely malicious and vindictive as his own child moves into high school. request is based on speculation and is not founded on any performance measures.
has personally taken responsibility for keeping students out of the district and intimidated parents to keep their kids out of “my school” because their kids didn’t meet criteria. These children are now being homeschooled.
has verbally attacked students in private meetings with teachers and administrators, as well as disparaged students at extracurricular events. Additionally, the law has been called to intervene to protect district children against harassment.
is seeking to cease all acceptance of transfer students. Many of these transfer students are hardworking individuals who bring solid academic and extracurricular activities to the district.
The removal of is based on the above-mentioned references that violate more than half of the adopted code of ethics. https://pol.tasb.org/Policy/Download/1252?filename=BBF(LOCAL).html&title=BOARD%20MEMBERS&subtitle=ETHICS
While the school board does not have any measures available to reprimand fellow board members, we the parents of children within the Poth Independent School District have the right to hold members accountable to uphold their code of ethics.
