Why this petition matters

Angola by the Bay has been a family friendly community in Lewes Delaware for over 60 years.

Under the amendment of bylaws:

Article XVII Removal of Officers, Directors, or Members Section 1: An officer, director or member may be removed for just cause, with formal charges being stated in writing with the signatures of 25 percent (25%) of the membership of the Association. In addition, a hearing must be held before a committee of twelve (12) appointed by the Board of Directors for this purpose only. No signer of the charges or no officer or member of the Board shall be a member of the Impeachment Committee. The Chairman of this Committee shall be elected by the members and shall have full voting powers in the Committee. A finding of “just cause for impeachment” sustained by two-thirds (2/3) vote of the Committee, and ratified by two-thirds (2/3) vote of the membership of the Association shall automatically remove the impeached officer or member from his office or membership. Section 2: An officer or director can be removed for two or more consecutive absences from Board, semi-annual or special meetings where the absences are unexcused by the President. The offending officer or director shall be notified by certified mail of the decision of the Board of Directors meeting; removal action may be completed by a majority vote of the Board. The then existing vacancy shall be filled as specified in Article V of these Bylaws.

Over the years a small group of individuals have run the community to the detriment of the entire community.

We the people are petitioning for the removal of Dana Watson from the management of ABTB.

Grounds for removal:

Misconduct on behalf of community

Working for self gain versus on behalf of community

Breach of service via misleading comments

Attempts to hide negative actions and outcomes from community

Poor culture

Harassment in the workplace

Release of confidential information

Data breaches

Breach of fiduciary duties

Violations of community policies

Violations of rules and regulations

Discrimination

Above all, poor work performance
