Sugam Kumar Singh started this petition to Chancellor (CU)

No doubt all of us are going through very tough times, but it should be taken into concern that students are being overloaded with assignment, worksheets and online classes that demand a lot of screen-time, students have their whole life left and work hard with hope of getting a good and comfortable lifestyle but at this learning phase, if they'll spent such long hours sitting at one place in-front of screen then it will affect both their mental and physical health, majority of students will have to wear glasses and some of them may sustain heavy damage to their eyes and may need surgery.

One can imagine 6-7 hours of online classes, and about 2 hours per worksheet, and they are not limited to just worksheet, quizzes, assignments, projects, practise homework and online notes experiments and list goes on, all of this consumes at least 13 hours a day and mails, WhatsApp updates or rewatching the lecture or reading a book online add 2-4 hours more, not only students, but faculty members are also facing the same issue.

Hence I, on behalf of all students, request you to either reduce the workload and screen time of students or open the university latest by this semester's end.
