Petition to Overturn Missouri's Chapter 188 Right to Life of the Unborn Child Act
Why this petition matters
It is imperative this is on the ballot for this November. It may seem too soon, but the timing of this ruling was all skillfully planned. The Supreme Court and Missouri Representatives wanted the public to feel as though there would be no time to fight this and then the added smack in the face of the ruling being passed right at the end of pride month, they want us to feel powerless. This is not nor has it ever been about babies or their lives. Abortion bans put more children in foster care, neglectful or abusive homes, while keeping ill prepared parents in poverty. Abortion bans also make children parents of children and rape victims legally linked to their abuser. It puts society against eachother, man versus women. As a castle law, open carry state, Missouri tells women and all with or without the capacity for pregnancy, they are less deserving of rights and protection than of property. If abortion bans were really about the preservation of life: pregnant people would have free healthcare, child support payments would start at conception, life insurance policies could be opened for the unborn, and fetuses could be claimed as dependents on taxes. Also women with children wouldn't make much less than their childless counterpart. And lastly abortion would not be a greater offense than rape or sexual assault if the argument were really about the concern for life. Abortion has never been about religion either for all secular religions have verbiage or stories which display a favor over choice and the life of the mother, especially Christianity. If we're striving to be a Christian nation, Christians wouldn't have the mere concept of sin if Yahweh were not a pro choice God, nor would he ask for first borns as sacrifice, or asked for Mary's permission to birth Jesus. Abortion bans are about control, it's about breeding whiteness. We are not in a population shortage, we are in a white population shortage. This petition acts to overturn the abortion ban, protecting the privacy between patient and physician.
