Why this petition matters

Started by Benjamin Pang

We hereby state that we, in no way, are intending to demean the school or degrade our current education policy. But we believe that we deserve a farewell prom night party where the senior students (only) are allowed to stay in the school till 12 am (ideally) in the morning on the occasion of the parting special gathering for the seniors of our school. With an appropriate prom theme and dress code that will also be chosen by the senior students themselves through voting. If possible, let there be photo booths, dates, prom dance, releasing of the school yearbook and school magazine, movies, chocolate fountains etc. We all believe that we the students batch of 2022-2023 would be grateful to have this auspicious function and sentimental experience for the first and last time in our life, especially with the latter 2 years of our high school years since 2019 gone by with the pandemic. It would make our life and could at least be the one which we would tell our kids and grandkids as one of the best moment in our lives and tell them that it was the time when we knew what being alive really meant. We hope that the government executes certain implementations regarding this issue so that the students of Mizoram and India as a whole would at least find going to school as something worthwhile. Moreover, it could maybe change the landscape of our current education system for the future generations and how we view things, for the better (hopefully). A little experiment couldn't hurt much, right? So we, the senior students of 2022-2023 kindly ask you all (our principal and the MBSE) to grant us this humble request of ours. Sarang-ei-rawh
