I concur with reasons shared here already. Leave the trail as it is. Enough hard earned tax $$ already wasted to destroy this area.

The trail beside the rail idea has been a disaster. Cutting down trees, plowing through riparian, stream diversion, negative impact to water quality, what were our so-called "Green" civic leaders thinking? They abandoned the environment.

I support land conservancy and environmental protection of native and local species and any attack against locals is an attack upon my friends and I will defend these locals with my full determination upon any opposition domestic or foreign.

I'm from Nanaimo but the link must use my very old address. Please consider using the E&N corridor for trail as it is far less taxing on community residents. Thanks, Sherry

Not very well thought and total lack of community consultation- typical of the CVRD.

The trail is perfect just the way it is. I have many amazing memories walking that trail as a kid and now get to create new memories on the same untouched trail with my children. I fear if it was to be developed we will see an influx of people which will only contribute to more pollution and to the destruction of our beautiful lake.
