Why this petition matters

Started by Jayan Duggal

Anti-homeless architecture, also known as hostile architecture, refers to structures built in public areas to deter homeless people from sleeping in certain places. Examples of this are spikes on floors under sheltered areas, and 'arm rests' placed in the middle of public benches. These structures are cruel and immoral, as they were invented to treat homeless people as pests that need to be removed from sight, instead of giving them the help they need. This petition aims to make this type of architecture illegal so that the government can focus on helping the homeless instead of hiding them from the public eye.
