The basketball hoops that families in our neighborhood have are keeping our kids active and out of trouble.  The hoops are necessary for the kids mental health and promote staying active.  As our children get older, there are more and more outside influences that are negative.  Having a basketball hoop outside the home gives them somewhere safe to be active, get out frustrations, hang out with friends and work on their skills.  

All of the basketball hoops in our community are either secured by either cement, cement blocks, sandbags or rocks and do not fall over and are therefore not a safety concern.  The children are very aware and respectful when cars come through and move out of the way when necessary.

Removing the hoops impact our children directly.  We are asking that both the township and the HOA of Aspen Fields allow us to keep our basketball hoop so our children can continue to have this great outlet for their mental and physical health.
