ARE YOU CONCERNED ABOUT TRAFFIC SAFETY ON WEST 181st St (Manhattan)?

Numerous traffic violations (cars running red lights, cars ignoring stop signs, and speeding vehicles) occur daily that endanger the safety of pedestrians on the West 181st St corridor.

WE WOULD LIKE FOR CARS TO SLOW DOWN AND OBEY THE TRAFFIC SIGNALS ON THE WEST 181st ST CORRIDOR (Manhattan). This can be accomplished with the proposed safety measures:

1) Installing red light violation traffic cameras (at the 3-way stop at 181 & Haven Ave.)

2) Installing traffic cameras at various "Stop" signs  (181st Street & Riverside, 181 & Cabrini Blvd.)

3) Adding speed bumps on the exit ramp from the George Washington Bridge (onto Haven Ave.) and adding speed bumps along 181st Street (from Riverside Drive to Cabrini Ave.)

With a click of a button, you can send this email to our local city council members, the Manhattan Borough President, the Manhattan Community Board 12 members, the NYC mayor, and the NYC Comptroller to request several measures to help improve traffic safety in our neighborhood.
