Petition to fund research into children’s brain cancer BSG/DIPG

At 12:03 on the 17th of July 6 year old Talin Hawkins took his last breath due to cancer of the brain. Paediatric Brain Cancers are the biggest natural killer of children in Australia. In 2010-11, $144M was given by Australia`s federal government toward new cancer research. Of this, merely $630K was directed towards paediatric brain tumour initiatives, a pathetic 0.44%! DIPG (Talin`s cancer) received nothing. Why should DIPG “The Deadliest Cancer Known To Man”, be the lowest funded and least regarded of all cancers?

We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to increase the funding to find a cure as a matter of urgency, 1 child’s death is 1 child too many...
