While we certainly appreciate the steps Tufts has taken throughout the pandemic to keep us safe, they have often taken their precautions to the extreme, to the detriment of the social, emotional, and mental well-being of the student body. 

Everyone at Tufts is triple-vaccinated. Massachusetts has a 78% vaccination rate. No new variants or surges have emerged that justify the reinstatement of, or refusal to roll back, restrictions. We are one of the last institutions to still require our students to be masked, despite cases and complications being lower than ever. 

The people are tired, they are ready to move on, get back to normal, recover and heal from the collective trauma of the past two years. We simply ask Tufts to let us begin to do so.
