The BVN administration has once again chosen to significantly limit opportunities to participate on the Northstars dance team, accepting only 13 dancers on the 2022-23 team. This is significantly fewer dancers than other schools in the area. After several attempts to address this issue with Blue Valley North’s administration, the parents of dancers believe that our voices have gone unheard. This petition is to request district-level support in expanding opportunities for current and future BVN students. If you have a dancer in any of the BVN feeder schools, we would appreciate your support, as this policy of creating an elite, "club-like" team within the high school will continue to make it increasingly difficult for students to participate in high school dance if no changes are made.
