Petition to Convert an existing path to an Access Road for Residents of Shaws Way, Twerton

At present, Shaws Way in Twerton Bath only supports parking on one side of the road for two streets (Shaws way & Cameley Green). This Road also supports a busy bus route and due to the congestion of parking this has resulted in cars being damaged by passing traffic and very few properties can add a driveway due to the raised nature of the houses, requiring costly planning permission and installation. We've also lost a large amount of the road to Bus Stops. Today a van was damaged by a bus for the third time due to the congestion!
There is not enough parking to support both sides of the road and something must be done. This petition is to persuade the council to put in an additional access road on the road extending from Poolemead Road and Newton Road (Allowing Shaws Way occupants to convert their front lawn into parking) This 'path' already is used by vans, motorbikes, AND mopeds as it is, it is about time this is turned into a real access road, perhaps not for thoroughfare but just for housing access?
Originally this was refused as a proposal as pedestrians use it however with the right kind of road (I.e Access only) this would be a perfect solution to the parking problem along Shaws Way.
There was an additional Consideration for additional parking for Cameley green residents to ease congestion, however, this petition is primarily to have an access road installed along the existing path
Please see attached links for photos of the proposal and sign this petition, share with other people living in the area and make this area safer for everyone.
