As many Marvel fans know, Marvel revisited the myths of Norse gods first in its comics and later in its film productions.

The first Thor comics came out around the 1960s and in one of these comics the figure of Sigyn, Loki's wife, was introduced.

Sigyn is Loki's wife also in the original myth. Unfortunately in the Marvel comics she is represented as a woman with a weak personality who obeys every order of her husband.

In the original myth, Loki was imprisoned in a cave with a snake that would pour poison on his head for eternity as punishment and Sigyn was for most eternity with a bowl over Loki's head to prevent the poison from hit him, which suggests that she was a very determined and combative woman.

It would be cool if Sigyn was introduced into the MCU and represented as in the original myth.

I know people who are both Marvel fans and fans of Norse mythology, and they too would love to see Loki and Sigyn together again, as long as she is portrayed as she deserves and not as a weak, submissive woman.

Loki and Sigyn are a beautiful couple and it would be great if Marvel brought their romance into the MCU.
