It has become very obvious now for the vast majority of people in rural Ireland, that the elected political representatives from the traditional parties have abandoned rural Ireland and its people. 
 We have seen these politicians vote in many different laws and acts which are hugely damaging for rural Ireland including legislation that will see the depletion of our fishing industry, the destruction of our agricultural industry and the banning of turf cutting.  These are only three examples of many insane and hugely reckless policy’s voted in by these traditional party politicians who pretend to represent Rural Ireland but in fact do the opposite! 
In the meantime the only politicians who have been speaking any common sense and who have been standing up for rural Ireland in Dáil Éireann over the last number of years are the Rural Independents.
We the people of rural Ireland, would ask now for the Rural Independents to create a Rural party, which would install a candidate in every constituency in rural Ireland for the next election. Instead then of having 6 elected rural politicians representing rural Ireland in the next Dáil, we would  hopefully have 26 and more and then rural Ireland will truly be represented in Dáil Éireann and will not be pushed around and bullied any more.
