We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens of Dickinson County who oppose Red Rock Energy’s Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS) application under Article 21 of the Dickinson County Zoning Ordinance. We believe this proposed use would adversely affect the public interest and is contrary to the health, safety, and well-being of the people of our county. Some of our concerns include:

1. Health issues (including migraines, chronic pain, increased blood pressure, nausea, tinnitus, and difficulty sleeping)

2. Noise pollution

3. Light pollution

4. Shadow flicker

5. Bird migration and habitat

6. Disruption of the natural landscape

7. Disruption of soil and ecological harm

8. Reduction in property values

9. Loss of enjoyment, peace, and comfort of our land

We ask that our opposition be shared with the Dickinson County Board of Adjustment.
