I am a senior student at the University of Mount Union. I come to you with a heavy heart and great concern about the affiliation of TPUSA to our campus community. Their most recent post on their social media (Instagram) account (see attached photos) is deeply concerning and disgusting, spewing transphobic and dehumanizing statements. No matter if they are officially affiliated with the University or not, UMU is in their profile name, forcing a reflection on the University. I was proud to be a Raider but considering the current events I am not sure I can graduate with my head held high. I love Mount Union, but this will sour our legacy, lessening the prestige that our education carries. Know that this is not a problem that will be fixed by deleting a post, this shows us what this so-called association truly is, a hate fueled, and bigoted, hate club that has no place on our campus.
