Kuroko's Basketball The Movie: Last Game to receive a cinematic release in the Philippines
Kuroko's Basketball The Movie: Last Game, the anime adaptation of the sequel to the Kuroko’s Basketball manga, is opening in Japan on March 18, 2017, and we in the Philippines want to experience it on the big screen! For the basketball-crazed Philippines, the English-subbed version of the anime was made available for free via Daisuki.net, and the dubbed version has aired on Hero TV, ABS-CBN (during its initial airing, it ranked in the top twenty daytime shows nationwide a few times), and Yey! It is still a popular staple of Hero channel’s lineup to this day. It is also one of the few anime to attract the attention of advertisers on cable.
Japanese and local distributors, there is an audience here waiting for The Last Game. By providing fans an official means to watch the movie close to its Japanese release date, they will have no reason to look for illegally distributed copies (see the case of Kimi no Na wa./your name).
Fans, let us show the creators that given a chance, we will support the anime by patronizing the official release. We have seen previously how a petition like this can work, so let us make our voices heard!
