The main message of this “DIRECTIVE” is a call for mutual respect and observance of social norms.  We, the Residents of the Kimberwicke Home Owners Association, have the right to quiet enjoyment of real estate and all open areas.   Personal use vehicles, modified to generate excessive engine and exhaust noise, are denying residents this right.

Noise pollution is unwanted human-created sound that has the effect of being annoying, distracting, painful, or physically harmful.  People exposed to noise pollution suffer from hearing loss, sleep deprivation, chronic fatigue, anxiety, hostility, depression and hypertension.

The Undersigned KHOA Residents demand a solution to the incessant, disruptive exhaust noise in our Neighborhood.  We petition the KHOA Board to accept this Directive to reduce these conditions and return Kimberwicke to a more livable community by establishing an enforceable noise ordinance.

If you support this petition and want to remain anonymous, all you have to do is put "Concerned Citizen" for your name.  You still have to list your address and city, but only your city will show on the petition, not your physical street address.
