Puerto Princesa City is one of well know tourist destinations in the Philippines. It has wonderful beaches, tourist spots and wonderful islands. However, because of modernization, the number of population increased and also the volume of vehicles around the city.

One of the concerns of citizens of Puerto Princesa is the reconstruction of roads, which gives us a benefit especially for the big vehicles. However, in a modernization that we are facing some roads are left behind and still damage.

If you will go at some Barangays and places in the city of Puerto Princesa, you will see some muddy and rocky roads, unfixed and unfinished streets, that causes difficulty to some vehicles and burden to the drivers and to their passengers.

Because of the factors, we, students, employees, workers, and even government officials are having delays in some important matters that we should take care of due to road reconstructions. Though some of us know that this projects are made for the betterment of the city, however there are roads that were left unfixed that leads to burden, heavy traffic and road accidents. Some of us are aware that the government provides enough funds for the renovation and construction of roads. We are just hoping that the funds will be used properly and create well build roads and the citizens may be able to use the roads for their vehicles and avoid delays and burdens.

We also would like to say that the government should prioritize those streets that are in badly need of reconstruction like those streets in Sampaloc st. in San Jose, and those muddy and rocky roads in inner sections of Puerto Princesa than renovating roads that are still in good conditions. This action can be a good help for the citizens and may reflect productivity and positive impact of the City.  We really hope that our petition might be help to improve our city.
