Carleigh Lameman started this petition to Petition Dior and

Petition for Dior to Apologize to the Indigenous Community. Dior needs to be held accountable for their racist and distasteful campaign and launch party.

It is clear from this event that it was not an error, this campaign was well planned and executed to show their true thought and intention. While an apology would be appreciated it would not be enough to address the widespread racism and discrimination in the mainstream fashion industry.

A Dior statement said  “The Parfums Christian Dior project is a part of AIO’s Advance Indigeneity Campaign to change the misperceptions about Native Americans, to share accurate American history, to build awareness about Native Americans as contemporary peoples and to promote Indigenous worldviews.” They stereotyped us, mocked our culture and our beliefs!

Their apology needs to include how they will take action towards cultural competency and compassion.

1. Apologize to the Indigenous Community!

2. Take cultural competency training/classes!
