The residents of Parkmews demand the decrease of rent as it is immensely high for 2023 considering the facilities and how Parkmews is built in general, we demand better water quality, better washing machines, more ovens, a better study room, better wifi, an improved TV room with an Xbox or Playstation and Fridges that have a deep freezer. As Parkmews residents we believe that Parkmews is exploiting the students as we are a paying a service that is not equivalent to the value of what Parkmews offers already and with a 7% increase for 2023 that shows exploitation as the rooms of Parkmews are small and the facilities are not worth the increase. Students have been complaining about the water quality as it tastes funny, the hot water is not always available, sometimes when you shower the water pressure decreases and nothing has been done hence this petition and all of this has to stop as we are not being heard. In conclusion as Parkmews residents, if we do not get what we demand, we are not coming back to Parkmews next year as Parkmews has shown that they do not care about Parkmews residents, we will be making our voices heard, we will not stand for the injustice Parkmews is doing and we will ensure potential residents and other student bodies know of this injustice. With respect may our concerns be taking into consideration as this can be solved in the House of Parkmews and with no need for us to reach protest. We would like a response before the end of October to give us time to apply to other student accommodations if the the response is not to our satisfaction, if a response is not given by then, we will take it the answer is no to our demands.
