The residents of Ward 68 hereby sign the below petition, and request for the immediate removal of the current Ward Councillor Mcibi Lobi. November of 2022 will mark 1 year of the councillor’s term in office. Since he has taken office, he does nothing for the communities of this ward.

Below are a few points which concern us the residents of this ward.

·         98% of Residents in this ward do not know who the Councillor is, or what he looks like, as he is not visible in any of the communities in this ward.

·         The Councillor does not call or attend any community meetings (This is part of his mandate) which require him being present in these meetings.

·         The Councillor has been added to several community Whatsapp groups and does not respond to any messages complaints or escalations raised by residents.

·         Residents of this Ward must do the councillors work, he does not come out to any issues which this ward faces i.e.: Power outages, burst pipes, stolen cables, etc…

·         The councillor is arrogant.

We hereby request that this matter be addressed, and that the councillor be removed from his position with immediate effect.
