The current appointment of a non librarian as the highest representative of libraries and information services in the country is unprocedural    and shows lack of respect for the profession. The LIS community in Botswana rejects this in the strongest of terms . We call upon the Ministry of youth ,gender , sport and culture to consider reappointment of a suitable,qualified professional with immediate effect, LIS is a noble profession .
