A resident of W Pine Bluff Road has applied for a conditional use permit and zoning variance with the intent of signing a 90 year contract to lease his small plot of land (less than 7 acres) to a cell phone company who will erect a 100 foot tower near the front of his property next to the road on W Pine Bluff Road in Nine Mile Falls. This elderly resident is not thinking about future residents in this area who will be effected by his decision long past his life time. In addition this resident has left his property to decay and accumulate trash and abandoned cars after he burned his house and RV down 3 years ago.

The proposed location of the cell phone tower is adjacent to rural  conservation zoning and sensitive wildlife habitats, which will have an impact on native nesting and migratory water fowl in the area. In addition the tower would diminish the aesthetic appeal of this residential rural community.
