To approve the use of Kalydeco for Cystic Fibrosis sufferers

Cystic Fibrosis is one of the most common genetic disorders in the the world. My granddaughter is 10 and and was diagnosed at 6 weeks of age. Her life has been a regime of pills, long hospital stays and continual monitoring to keep her lungs healthy. A number of countries have approved the use of Kalydeco including the USA, Scotland, England, Wales, France, Norway, Switzerland, Canada, Italy to name a few. How come Australia who participated in clinical trials has failed to respond? This is an absolute shameful situation and I call upon the Australian government to show some leadership and compassion and approve the use of this drug. Let's join forces and fight for the rights of our children and grandchildren who suffer from Cystic Fibrosis - let this call for help resonate across this great country.
