Mollie Manley’s family say she will not survive the 22-hour flight from Australia to the UK if she is forced to leave the country.

She is 93 years old with three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren - all Australian citizens - She is well taken care of and financed by her family who visit her each week in an aged care home just outside of Perth. They sing together and listen to her tales of when she was a ballroom dancer.

when she arrived to Australia some 11 years ago - she was in sound health, until recently failing Australia's permanent visa requirements on health grounds.  She is now facing a forced return to her home country - where she has no remaining relatives.

The government’s immigration health criteria dictates an applicant for permanent residency must be free from a disease or condition which “would be likely to require health care or community services" and result in more than $40,000 in costs.

According to the government’s costings, Ms Manley’s care will cost $145,000 over a three-year period.

Mollies family took care of her as they were told that a parental visa process takes up to 30 years.  Her family were well aware of the cost and assistance they will need to provide and thus did they best and continue to do whats best to keep Mollie close to her loved ones. Although Mollie is now in aged care - the cost is justified as her Australian citizen family members do pay they share of Taxes.

As Australian tax payers we do expect that the cost of our health care, education etc are catered for us inclusive of our family.  If this is not the case than why are we paying taxes.

My petition has always been about stopping family deportation and incarceration - finding alternative remedies.  hence I plead with you all reading this to sign and share and stop family separation.
