Jedidiah Davis started this petition to Governor Pete Ricketts

There are many individuals who gladly wear a mask at their own accord and do not want masks to be a legislated mandate, unlike the few, outspoken, who want masks to be mandated.

Most places of business already require a mask in order to shop at their stores. And many places of business are already required to wear masks, along with their clientele. We do not need to additionally require masks as a county or city mandate.

Some people can not wear a mask for medical reasons and should not be inflicted with more stringent requirements. One should not be put through levels of security or fines or the like for not wearing a mask.

This petition represents those are against the mandate of wearing a mask. We are against being legally compelled to wear a mask In public areas, inside or outside. We are against the legal mandate of being required to wear a mask in any place of business or place of worship.

There may be data that the COVID-19 virus transfer is reduced when wearing a mask, but this is specifically in reference to when saliva is being ejected from the mouth. In most cases, most strangers are not having conversation, but merely passing by, making it increasingly more difficult to transfer the virus.
