In December of 2020 I had gotten a Leopard Gecko from PetCo, I fell in love with her the moment I saw her... I knew I had to have her so that day I went home did my research and a week later I had taken her home along with everything she needed, I named her Paladin initially I had her on Reptile Carpet but I had been told by multiple people that they recommended some sort of substrate instead. I chose ZooMed Crushed Walnut shells as I had hoped it would be safer then the other options I had found... as of yesterday June 2nd 2021 Paladin died of impaction the stress of her stomach being impacted coupled with the invasive vet procedures proved too much and she died as a result I don’t want to blame anyone as this really came out of nowhere, however I can blame the cause of her impaction and hopefully get it out of pet stores and potentially save others from going through this nightmare.
