To whom it may concern!
There are a number of instances where animal cruelty makes me question if we humans are demonic. Demeaning the existence of others in our eco-system, because of a few hideous men the entire mankind falls under the question of atrocious acts. Today for one I feel ashamed of being a human!
Apparently pineapples or similar fruits filled with man made firecrackers are used as a bait to keep wild boars away from the crops. On 27 May 2020 a man fed a pregnant elephant with one of these pineapples. After the fruit exploded in her mouth she walked miles in excruciating pain, ironically without destructing a single straw of a house in the village to finally find a place in the Silent Valley.
This heart shattering incident has come to some light because of Mohan Krishnan, a forest officer who shared in his heartfelt note... ‘with her head dipped in water . She had a sixth sense that she was going to die.’
Probably a second noted case on men feeding cooed fruits to animals in less than two months. Although the CM of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan has stated to take strict actions against such hideous crime. Investigating such incidents is difficult because elephants travel several miles a day, in search of food.
Unfortunate is until today I see no activist organisations have raised a voice against such grave animal cruelty. Therefore I plea PETA to make a global outburst against such intentional animal cruelty and put it infront of the Animal Welfare Board of India for them to enforce the required laws for such, such an ATROCIOUS CRIME.

Let there be agony, for she died with an exploded child in her womb... in the Silent Valley.

Regards,
