Stop the Sales of Pets from Puppy Mills and Breeders in Pet Stores

There is an estimated count of 6-8 million animals being taken into shelters yearly. 3-4 million of those animals are euthanized.

Some pets that are in pet shops come from local backyard breeders and puppy mills. By dissolving the sales of pets at pet shops, people will more likely adopt a pet from a local shelter or rescue group, helping to decrease the euthanisia rate. To many animals are dying, some not even given a second chance.

I want to end the sale of pets in pet stores unless, they are selling pets from shelters (if so they need proof).

Please sign this petition, and hopefully it will lead to something much bigger than a site on the internet.

Thanks!

Letter to
Pet Stores Around the World
By signing this petition, it is possible that you and I can save the lives of millions of rescued or sheltered animals, one step at a time. I am just one person, working towards an increase of adoptions in rescue groups and shelters, while trying my best to decrease the sale of pets in pet stores around the world. It is more heartbreaking to see an animal behind bars in a shelter, than to see them in a pet shop.

Like I said, I am just one person. I need everyone's help, and just maybe we can all make a difference for the animals who are apart of rescue groups and for those who are in shelters.

I would also like to state my opinion. If you have or know someone who has a pet, please get it spayed or neutered. Spaying or neutering will help decrease the intake of sheltered animals.
