The Environmental Protection Agency is currently reviewing regulations regarding pesticide use. Agricultural pesticides mainly hurt children who live on farms and in rural areas, but, other children can be affected as well; for, pesticides poison food too. EPA should prohibit the use of neurotoxins near residential areas and schools. It should hold applicators and manufacturers liable for damages if the prohibition is violated. EPA should also study the risks posed by prolonged pesticide exposure to farm workers and their families. Our government should do everything it can to protect millions of kids from the poisons that are used in industrial agriculture.
