With the increase in new homes in Auchterarder, there is an increase of families in the area. Currently there is no holiday school care available in the form of wraparound care. Local working residents only have one option and that is to be off work or to travel to Crieff. Crieff is 11 miles across back roads so you can only access this if you drive. The public transport options are poor so not an option to fit in with working parents time capacity. 

Wraparound care states that they require a minimum of 10 children to operate- I would imagine that Residents in Auchterarder and the surrounding areas would take full advantage of this if it was available. 

Given the vast area, wraparound care in Auchterarder could support the many surrounding areas, including Aberuthven,  Dunning and Blackford, there would be sufficient attendance considering how many working parents require this support.

Although there are some private childcare provisions available it’s not financially accessible to everyone.  

Perth and Kinross council need to approve the Langtoon kids club to be open as a wraparound service during holidays.
