The condition of the road from the A9 to Stanley village has long been unacceptable.  Until recently this was a little used road in comparison to other access routes to the village.

Since the recent completion of the widening of the A9 and the installation of a new interchange this road is now busier than ever before.

The condition of the road is deteriorating daily with new potholes and surface breakdown occurring along the whole length of the road from the new A9 junction to the railway bridge.

The condition of the road has become dangerous for all users as avoidance is not always possible due to oncoming traffic.

PKC have a duty to maintain the roads to an acceptable and safe standard and currently this road falls far below this standard.

The signatories ask that PKC fulfill their duty and carry out the necessary repairs and /or upgrades to this road at the earliest opportunity.
