More flights out of Perth
0 have signed. Let’s get to 100!
Perth has the third largest migrant population in Australia. Yet, it is appalling how we are missing out on a substantial amount of direct flights to Asia. We are one of the closest cities in the country to our next door continent, closer than Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to many Asian destinations. However, Perth Airport is being severely under served, it is not being used to its full capacity as a gateway to the Asian continent. This is proving a hindrance for migrants in Perth, as they are forced to spend more money on longer flights just to visit their home countries. Our universities are among the best in the world, so we are not doing our international students justice by this major issue. Direct flights would allow them to easily travel between Perth and their home countries during the school holidays. Tourism would also significantly boost with more direct flights. Both overseas and local businesses in Perth will also gain an advantage, as they will be able to efficiently commute for important meetings in more major cities. Flights between London and Perth are already scheduled to commence in 2018, but why are we not focusing on providing flights to our biggest trade partners? In the near future, we should be having the following flights:
- Ho Chi Minh City
Therefore, it is vital that more flights are to be served from Perth Airport, so that we can become a viable destination for tourism, business, education and migration.
