Save Thurston's precious trees!

Because we need to start respecting the environment. I come from that part of the world. It is a beautiful place but at continual risk from brute greed and short termism. Farming has grubbed up miles and miles of ancient hedgerow, chopped thousands of trees, destroyed meadows and wetlands, put down poison, killed my dog, raped the land. Inconsiderate building development is another curse. You don't know what you have got till it's gone. Unfortunately, given human nature there is little hope. Greed trumps all. Trees were once sacred in this country. It's time we understood they still are.
