The Perkiomen Valley School District is facing a budget crisis for the 2014-2015 school year. In an effort to close the gap, a proposal has been made to cut one core academic teacher in Social Studies, Math, and English. In doing so, some of the best and most liked teachers will get laid off.
It is important that we, the student body, get involved and let our voices be heard. These decisions directly affect us and our high school learning experience. We must stop the board from approving these cuts in an effort to help save some of the best teachers in the district. We must encourage the board to search for alternative methods of saving money and raising revenue. Let your voices be heard!
