Each year billions of pounds of trash and other pollutants enter the ocean. We can't just get rid of all the pollutants in all so we have to start somewhere. 

I believe that we should start with banning plastic bottles. One reason we should do this is because it would reduce waste and protect the environment. Human generated pollution is altering the underwater acoustic landscape, causing marine species worldwide to be harmed or even killed. This means animals like dolphins or whales cannot use echolocation to communicate with their families; imagine that!

Another reason why we should start banning plastic bottles is because it would save money. An average american buys 167 plastic water bottles per year costing $266. With that money we could make water fountains around places that could be free to anyone. 

Banning plastic bottles is an easy solution to protecting animals and the world from us.
