There is a petition going around to cancel school because of the coronavirus. However it is my belief that this petition does not stem from real fear for health but over some individuals selfishness and laziness of not wanting to attend classes. For anyone who has real fears special accommodations can be made. Ultimately Pepperdine should stay open because for some going home is too dangerous or not an option and they will have nowhere to go. Also for graduating seniors this is their last semester with all of their friends. Pepperdine is a small community and if we all take the right precautions of washing hands and not attending class when sick we will be fine. We paid for college we deserve to stay and receive the education we were promised. We the students should get to make the final decision, as it is our college experience. We are all adults and know the risks. It is up to us. Please sign.
