The UK MP's have just had a pay increase of £2464 pear annum from April 2020, so that they now earn £81,932 per year. In addition to this salary they have a plethora of expenses availed to them, they are per year :-

Accommodation cost £22,920 - renting in London area - £16,010 non London area

Office costs - London area £28,270, non London area £25,430

Staffing costs - London area £166,930 , non London £155,930

Accommodation costs - uplift for MP's with dependents - £5,435 per dependent

Travel Expense - no limits

With the whole population experiencing a traumatic drop in incomes & livelihoods, a huge increase in unemployment associated with a huge expenditure on the public borrowing, its imperative that our MP's lead by example and take a drop in salary and expense allowances for the period of at least 6 months, the daily mantra of "protect our NHS" is applicable to us all and we as a population have and are doing our part, its now time the MP's show the nation they are in this together with us,to receive £166,930 a year staffing costs when the HOP is on Easter recess is not justified at all, so please kindly sign this petition to get this actioned.
