Unfortunately Brook Field Lane (Crab Hill Lane) has been lost over the years as a registered official byway on newer mapping. Our beautiful lane has been used for hundreds of years by walkers cyclists horse riders and farmers to access fields and feed livestock.  Local residents also use this byway to access shops and St Andrew’s church rather then walk down Prospect Hill. 
The lane has unfortunately been blocked by a the erection of an illegal gate in an attempt to stop its use and more recently by the addition of a padlock. SCC are aware and are looking in to it but the DMMO process is slow.
