I'm starting this petition in hope to change the city fireworks ordinance. I propose we extend the time frame be two weeks. One week earlier, and one week later than currently allowed. I would also like to extend the ordinance beyond Independence Day, and include holidays such as; New Years, Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Mother's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Also, your birthday, your dogs birthday, your cousin's neighbors pet raccoon's birthday... it's a celebration! 

As Freeborn citizens of this great country, we should be able to get drunk and blow shit up all year long. Even though I find fireworks to be obnoxious (when I'm not the one lighting them off) I still recognize your right to have fun and celebrate how you see fit.
