I belong from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh and in an area where the cows are being exploited. Their owners use them to get milk by injecting them and then leave them hungry and ill.
The voiceless have to roam around the local societies for food, because of them the society people throw the garbage on the road which these animals eat.
All this has made our locality a horrible place to live everywhere. There is animal dirt on roads, household garbage, etc. We live in a very unhealthy environment. Complaining several times in the local stations also did not help me as the owners shut their mouths by giving them money, and if anyone speaks in between, they all raise their voices against the person.
As humans, we also have the right to live in a clean society. The animals should be treated well. In a country like India, where cows are treated as a resemblance to God, their treatment is not less than any exploitation. Even after making several complaints and writing emails to the official, I don't get any solution.
And this is happening in many parts of many Tier 2 cities.
