PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, needs to be disbanded. The reason for this is because of all the harm that they cause.

In 2015 they released their video game Kitten Squad, which has a nice cartoon kitten on the cover. This game might appeal to children who see a cute cat and a fun name, but right as you open the game it shows all kinds of animals being brutally killed which would traumatize anyone no matter their age.

In 2017 they stated that they euthanized nearly 2000 ready to be adopted cats and dogs and only 44 animals were adopted. In 2018 they killed almost 1800 of the 2500 cats and dogs they had taken in, that is a kill rate of 72%.

And this next fact is quite well known. On Steve Irwin’s birthday Google made a Google Doodle to celebrate his 57th birthday and PETA stated on their Twitter “Steve Irwin was killed while harassing a ray, dangled his baby while feeding a crocodile, and wrestled with animals who were minding their own business.” While I personally agree that it was dumb of Steve to hold his son while feeding a crocodile. I also know that he was not “harassing” the ray when it killed him, he was trying to photograph them, and I know that the animals that were “minding their own business”, which he wrestled, were causing harm to people, their pets, and other wild animals in the area.

These are just a few of many atrocities that PETA has done in its 40 years of existence. So please, think about all the things that you have read and also look up more of the harm that they have caused and maybe we can bring their terror to an end.
