Fine and charge everyone in parliament who attended a Christmas party.
Fine and charge everyone in parliament who attended a Christmas party.
For far too long now, parliament have made everyone look like idiots while they are off partying during Christmas time.
For weeks on end we were told not to see our loved ones, not to hug them, not to go even outside their house. We were told to keep funerals small and make sure there is social distancing. When a loved one is dying in the hospital you were not allowed to see them. These people died alone, scared and frightened. This is not how any person should feel in their last moments.
During Christmas time we were told to stay in our homes, only do essential shopping and do not visit your loved ones. Many people spent Christmas alone and this was heart breaking for the nation.
Now even I myself have not seen my family members from South Africa in a few years and we were planning on going last year. We followed the rules, we didn’t go abroad, we wore our masks, we washed our hands.
I worked in Sainsburys during the pandemic, and even though people wore their masks, kept their distance and washed their hands. This still was not enough. We were told as a nation constantly that if we do not comply with the lockdown rules set out by government that one form of consequence could be a £10,000 fine for having a party. Now surely Boris and his colleagues should be held responsible for their party they had over Christmas while the rest of the country sat in their homes wishing and praying that there would be a four day release for the Christmas period.
Low and behold, the four day release period was reduced to one day, however for parliament it seems that these rules do not apply to them. There have been many occasions where they have blatantly disregarded the rules they set out themselves and I’m sure everyone has reached their limit.
Well enough is enough.
