Solar Panels are a great conventional and alternative type of energy technologies to use in our houses. After a lot of research scientists have come to a conclusion that solar panels, also known as photovoltaic, are used to absorb sunlight energy and turn it into electricity. Hazel O’Leary was the first African American woman to head the U.S. Department of Energy and she supported all the research done in solar and energy efficiency technologies.

First of all, Solar Panels are a better energy source because they do not generate air pollution or greenhouse gases.  The electricity that we use everyday is generated by fossil fuels, when those fuels are used toxic gases get released into the atmosphere which lead to air pollution or climate change. That’s why Solar Panels are greater, because they do not require any fuels to function.

Second of all, photovoltaic panels are a good option because they produce energy from the sunlight and the sunlight is a renewable source whether the traditional energy uses fossil fuel like coal and that is not a renewable source. So by using photovoltaic we are saving fossil fuel as well.

Third of all, with Solar panels you can save up a lot of money each month. With solar panels the bills are cheaper than regular electricity and in some cases you don’t pay any bills because you are using renewable energy and you are not consuming anything.

In conclusion, Solar panels are a really good alternative as an energy technology and people should start installing them in their houses. In this way it will benefit people as well as the environment.
