By studying animals, it is possible to obtain information that cannot be learned in any other way. Instead, the drug or technique is tested in animals to make sure that it is safe and effective. Animals also offer experimental models that would be impossible to replicate using human subjects. They also probably use (mostly) animals for testing because they have some DNA in common. 

Each year, more than 100 million animals including:

mice

rats

frogs

dogs

cats

rabbits

hamsters

guinea pig

monkeys

fish

birds

and EVEN dogs, etc..

Are killed in U.S. And they are either euthenised or re-used for other experiments.

Some examples for why they are tested on:

laboratories for biology lessons

medical training

curiosity-driven experimentation

chemical

drugs

foods

cosmetics testing(mostly rabbits)

Vaccines, etc..

Basically people are using animals for their own needs. Which I think is very wrong. And, they mostly kill the animals (to end their suffering) that got tested OR, re-use them again for other experiments. ..They should not do the experiments on them on the first place, and even if they do an experiment after doing one experiment they can just help the animal cure and take care of it until most of the things the people did to the animal cures. After, it gets cured they can just send it out back in the wild/forests. 

What I'm trying to say is that animals should not be tested on. ...But, by chance if they do get tested on people should not euthenise them because, they still might want to live but, the animals can't tell you. If you buy cosmetic items, chemicals, etc. you can just see the items and check if any animals got tested on during the manifacturing of the product.

We should stop animal testing and euthenasia with the animals.
