Based on the current  Pension Act an individual has access to 1/8 of  their gross pension payout.

I believe the Pension Act must be amended to accommodate different issues and circumstances. Thereby preserving the human dignity of owning a shelter.

Regardless of the retiree  circumstances the rule remains the same.

There will be an individual who will retire and they have not paid off their house, instead of the Pension fund pocket paying the house off so the pensioner can have a basic shelter instead Law advises that they can only access 1/8 of their monies, and rest receive as monthly payout which at times is not enough to pay the bond. The individual will be on arrears because their home. 

Government must re- visit the Act and accommodate accordingly.
