A silver tsunami is quickly approaching the United States: every eight seconds, someone turns 65. For Pennsylvania, the silver tsunami is already here. We are not ready; we need your help.
More than one in eight people in Pennsylvania are over the age of 65. I have provided home care for many aging people in Pennsylvania who, without the support of in-home care, would have had to move into a nursing home. Home care work is more than helping people get out of bed and preparing meals; it is about giving people the choice to stay at home with their loved ones. Caregiving is hard work. In honor of both the families I’ve worked with and caregivers across the state, I'm joining a group of other Pennsylvania residents to deliver a petition to Senator Casey asking him to support a Senate resolution that calls on Congress to create a care system that makes quality long-term care affordable and accessible.
Will you sign this petition asking Senator Casey to support Senate Res. 128 which calls for the creation of a long-term care system?
